For Claire Rengade, speaking or writing is not all that different from singing: it is something that involves the whole body; speech is a true movement. With this in mind, experimenting and composing with other forms of breath at the same time comes totally naturally to her. With the trumpet, she sometimes doesn’t know if it’s the instrument or her talking. With acoustic effects and an untreated, natural voice, the electronic music adds touches of colour. It takes us through landscapes and dimensions... When they are placed within a context, words becomes theatre; but in truth, it is all made up.
