Through the blind gypsy violinist Tcha Limberger and the music he embodies, I Silenti commemorates the Romani genocide during World War II. In it, Fabrizio Cassol recomposes passages of Monteverdi’s madrigals on the themes of love, separation and exile, with the songs of Tcha, through which he expresses the story of his people. An Indian dancer moves to the music, symbolising the lost mother – that of the forgotten Indian origins of Tcha and the Romani. I Silenti conveys to us powerful and beautiful stories. Stories that are a poetic expression of those without a voice and pages left blank. Unwritten letters. From all those who, in one way or another, have been reduced to silence.
