In this solo performance, Oua-Anou Diarra of Burkina Faso states his artistic identity and Fula cultural heritage, while remaining in phase with his generation. In addition to the traditional instruments that he excels in, including the Tamanin talking drum and the Djeli n’goni lute, he is a relentless explorer and has a particular interest in effects pedals, which he uses to shape his individual sound, aiming to be both a musician of his time and the guardian of an ancestral musical tradition.
